I am writing in regards to the Airport Driver posting for Silver Airways because I am very interested in applying for this position.

I have more than three years experience driving a shuttle bus in which I transported passengers back and forth between a hotel and the airport. During this time, I acquired outstanding interpersonal skills that help me connect with my passengers, so I can help them relax and feel comfortable during transit. I believe this is a very important part of the job because it helps to bring in repeat business.

In addition to my experience driving a shuttle bus, I have a valid CDL license and a clean driving record. I am physically able to lift, stoop, bend and perform other physical aspects of the job such as loading and unloading luggage.

I have the ability to follow work schedules and perform tasks in a timely manner and the ability to deliver passengers to their destinations in a safe and efficient manner. I can also help them enter and exit the vehicle when needed and handle passengers with special needs.

I can perform daily maintenance on the vehicle to help keep it running smoothly and I know what signs to look for that indicate the vehicle needs to be check out by a mechanic. I am also familiar with using two-way radios so I can communicate with the office and other drivers.
