Versatile Development Associate Cover Letter Example

Dear Ms. Albertine Driggers,

I would like to apply for the Child Development Associate position that is available at AstraZeneca.

I have a bachelor’s degree in education and have completed courses specifically tailored to child development. I have worked in both a school setting and also in a facility where the goal was to offer support to not only the children but the families of children. In some cases, I traveled to the child’s home to aid the families in learning how to better support their child’s special needs. The main goal was to ensure that the child would be mainstreamed into the public school system and to provide them with the tools for success in their education.

I have great communication skills which hold me in great stead when teaching families about the development issues with their children. I am also very creative and have worked with new ideas and concepts for developing programs that are tailored for the individual child. No two children are the same and even though they may have the same problems the methods for reaching goals are always handled on a case by case basis.

I have also worked with children and have many activities that enable them to learn cooperation and other skills while in a group. This enables them to be better prepared when moving to a school where group activities are the norm. Without these skills, children can become disruptive to the classroom and can hinder the learning of others.
