Creative Costume Designer Cover Letter Example
Here is the Creative Costume Designer Cover Letter Example:
Dear Ms. Webber,
I am applying for the Costume Designer position with Rubie’s Costume Co. and my qualifications match the requirements in your posting.
The costumes I saw on stage in theaters and in movies growing up always fascinated me and I knew exactly what type of career I wanted. As a result, I earned my bachelor’s degree in costume design and I would like the opportunity to put my skills to work for you.
I am a bit of a history buff, so I can choose the best fabrics and accessories to use for costumes based on the production. I also have excellent research abilities to double check my facts or to research costumes for an era I am not familiar with. In addition, I have the creativity needed to produce costumes for futuristic productions.
I have excellent reading comprehension and active listening skills that help me visualize exactly what the characters should look like. This helps to eliminate misunderstandings and it helps to ensure you get the best designs possible in a timely fashion. I pay close attention to detail to prevent anything from slipping by that would not be suited for a particular style or year.
I am familiar with using computer imagery to covert my drawings and sketches, so you can get a better idea of what they will look like once completed. I also have the ability and skills to create the designs your company needs while staying within the budget. I have attached my portfolio with resume so you can view some of my previous work and I look forward to meeting with you soon.
Please call (555)-555-5555 to set up an interview.
Respectfully,
Cheryl Harris
