I am applying for the Home Care Worker position with Right at Home, Inc.
After graduating high school, I completed a training program offered by the National Association for Home Care and Hospice. I have also completed a first aid course and CPR training and my goal is to become an RN. I have a very caring nature and it is my desire to help all types of individuals and their families deal with illnesses or disabilities by helping to care for the patients in their homes.
I have the training to check vital signs and to monitor patients for changes that could indicate a problem. I am physically able to help move patients around to different parts of the home and I have the ability to help make sure they are taking their medication correctly.
I can assist patients with personal grooming needs such as getting dressed, brushing teeth and combing hair. I can take care of many of the light housekeeping jobs such as vacuuming, washing dishes and doing the laundry. I also have the ability to do the grocery shopping, prepare light meals and to offer companionship that will help to improve the patient’s quality of life.
I am dependable and I have the ability to adhere to a strict work schedule and to follow specific instructions to ensure the best possible care of the patient. I have lots of patience and a real desire to use my skills to take care of these individuals in their home, so they can live as close to a normal life as possible.
