Proactive Interviewer Cover Letter Example

Dear Ms. Cora Zeiger,

I would like to apply for the interviewer position that was recently posted by your company. My resume has been attached to this document for your convenience.

While I do not have any formal schooling, I do have a high school diploma and have more than ten years experience as both a field and in house interviewer. My communication skills are high which allows me to speak to strangers as if they were old friends. This helps when attempting to conduct research and surveys because people tend to offer more information when they are comfortable with the interviewer.

I understand that it is important to never bias the research or survey by leading the respondent in any way and the techniques that are used when on a call or in the field assure that this never happens. Most of my past work was in market research but there were also times when it was necessary for me to conduct research for political reasons. I am able to work with a set script or to help come up with the questions that are to be asked during the research or survey.

Asking questions, whether written by another or through a workshop, verbatim is vital to this industry and I never deviate from the set script that is assigned to me. Again, this helps keep the continuity of the survey along with not biasing the respondent.
