I am applying for the law librarian position that was recently vacated at your firm Cabanas Law Firm. I have attached my resume to this document for your perusal.

My education includes a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in library science. I have over four years of experience at a prestigious law firm. My skills include strengths in research which enables me to assist lawyers and legal clerks in finding legal resources that are pertinent to the cases that they are working on. This includes working from a database and at the reference desk to document which articles were used and checked out of the library.

At my last employment, it was my duty to ensure that all items used for research were returned to their original areas so those who needed to use them later would have no difficulty finding them. I was also responsible for keeping the database up to date by cataloging new journals and all other materials that came into the library. My computer skills are above average and I am an advanced user of all of the Microsoft Office applications.

I have great interpersonal and communication skills which enables me to work hand in hand with all who are seeking information from the library. This also enables me to conduct the proper research to find all of the documents, journals and precedents that are being sought out by attorneys, law students, judges and legal clerks.
