I am interested in a library aide position with your company Keene Memorial Library and I have attached my resume for you to look over.

My qualifications include an associate’s of science degree in library science and I have worked for more than six years in a high paced library. This experience has enabled me to have a deep understanding of all library operations including organizing all materials and periodically through the library’s computer system. I have offered reference services to all staff, faculty and any students through the internet and electronic print resources. It was also my task to maintain and distribute instructional resources as well as supervise the work conducted by the library assistants.

One of the most important areas that I excelled at was supporting all routine library operations such as cataloging and processing new library resources and ensuring they were shelved properly. This was also done for all audio visual materials that were placed on the cart and tracked through the computer system.

I have great interpersonal skills which are important when coaching staff in the usage of all AV and computer equipment and they are also an aid when helping to located items for the library users. My computer skills are above average and it would be no problem to manage the library’s internal webpage to keep the database up to date. Finally, I am able to properly sort and classify books so they can be found easily.
