Based upon my college coursework, my field of study, and my strong work ethic; Franklin Hugo, recommended that I contact you regarding your internship available this summer. Briefly, I am working towards fulfilling an undergraduate major in Marketing, have a sustained gpa of 3.7, and recommendations from the Dean to attest to my strong work ethic in my chosen field of study. Moreover, I am taking a number of business courses outside my Marketing requirements to provide a solid foundation for my career knowledge and value. At present as an example, I am working on a presentation on Marketing concepts which presents a challenge of how to reorganize a particular marketing portfolio which is not reaching its intended market. With team members, we have projected an optimized strategy for this imaginary marketing client-one which focuses on financials, key concepts of the trade, and the implementation of new marketing action that was not previously being used. Furthermore, we have shown the projected success in customer use, purchase, and savings to the client with this new strategy. I have included this project to show how invested I am in marketing, and how much work I am willing to put into a possible internship with your company. At school, I work hard and look to your internship as a means of implementing what I know; while also learning how the industry works hands on, from the most successful marketing firm in the area.
Moreover, during my time at the University of Florida; I have worked as an Administrative Assistant for a Business Solutions company; which has offered me not only a solid professional environment for me to understand and use in further career positions; but also, a means of understanding the fundamentals of business practice and implementation-which aids me in my continuum of learning marketing in my career.
