The attached resume has a complete look at my educational background, work history and skills relevant to this position but here is a brief look at my credentials. I have acquired my diploma and I am CPR certified. I volunteered at St. Alexius Medical Center where I assisted the Dialysis Nurse in the treatment of patients and I do plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in this field.

Under the supervision of the nurses, I made sure all machines were working properly, programmed the machines to meet the special needs of each patient and I began the treatment. I also have the training to prepare patients for the dialysis process, to check vitals and to record any changes in the patient’s health since their last visit.

I have the skills and training to monitor the patient throughout the process and I know what signs to look for that could be an indication of a problem. I am very observant and I have the ability to respond quickly and professionally during an emergency.

I have very good interpersonal skills with the ability to explain the process to the patients, answer questions concerning the treatment and to help them relax as much as possible during the treatment. I am also familiar with the procedures used to clean and disinfect the equipment.
