I have the education and training to fill the position of EKG Technician now available at Mercy Memorial Hospital and I hope that you will consider me for this position.
I have a degree in nursing and I currently hold a Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification. I have over two years of experience working in a local hospital where I gained valuable knowledge about working in this fast-paced environment. Due to my nursing experience, I have the skills to monitor the patient’s vitals during the tests and if a problem occurs, I know when it is serious enough to call in a physician.
I have the ability to position the patients correctly so the EKG machine can be hooked up properly. I also have the skills to use the EKG equipment correctly in all types of sceneries such as performing stress tests and administer Holter monitoring tests.
I have excellent communication skills with the ability to explain the procedures and everything they involve to the patients in such a way that they can understand exactly what is going on. I am compassionate and understand that many of these patients are dealing with serious medical conditions that are frightening and stressful for both them and their families.
I have the physical abilities to help lift and move patients when necessary and to move equipment around. I pay close attention to detail and I have a friendly and easy-going personality that helps to keep patients calm and more relaxed during the tests.
