Dear Ms. Sandlin,

I would like to express my interest in the Plastic Surgeon position available at Winthrop-University Hospital.

I chose this career to help patients who are suffering from disfiguration due to some type of unfortunate accident or illness and securing a position with your company would make it possible to accomplish my goals. I have spent many years preparing for this position that includes acquiring a pre-med bachelor’s degree and then completing medical school to earn my Doctor of Medicine status.

I gained clinical experience to help prepare me for this position and I have recently completed five years of residency training. I have passed all of my exams and obtained all the legal documents to work as a Plastic Surgeon. I have the medical skills to determine when a patient is physically able to undergo the surgery and the skills to monitor their progress throughout the procedure.

In addition to my education and training, I have the personal skills needed to be successful. I have the ability to work long hours and to stay completely focused on my work to provide patients with the very best service possible.

I am highly motivated with a sincere desire to help others. I possess excellent communication skills and I have the ability to interact with the patients in a way that gives them confidence and new hope for the future. I can provide consultations and discuss what to expect before, during and after the surgery. I look forward to meeting with you soon and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to tour your facility.
