I am applying for the position of Metallurgist with Archimedes Global, Inc. and my education, experience and training meets the requirements needed to fill this position.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering and extensive knowledge of the chemical and physical behavior associated with alloys and metals such as steel, iron, nickel, copper and aluminum. My experience includes conducting investigations and experiments to study the performance of these metals and alloys to learn how they react under stress and temperature changes.

While I specialized in physical metallurgy, I am familiar with both the chemical and process metallurgy as well. My training has taught me how to read, understand and interpret design drawings and to make recommendations for improvements.

I have outstanding analytical skills with the ability to investigate any accident that may have been the result of metallurgical failure and I have the writing skills to create documents and manuals and to keep detailed records of the investigation, experiments and research conducted along with the results. I have the ability to use a variety of sophisticated software designed specifically for this field and to keep up with any new technology that becomes available.

My excellent communication skills make it possible to converse efficiently with other professionals and to work together to solve technical problems as they arise. I possess the ability to make time-critical decision, monitor quality and create procedures that will help to ensure the health and safety of those who encounter products that use these alloys and metals.
