I am applying for the position of Army Medic with U.S. Army Medicine Civilian Corps and I have the skills and training listed within the posting.
I believe it is one of the most important roles in the military and it is one that I want to be a part of. You have the opportunity to care for and help out your comrades during a time when they need you the most. I understand that this position requires being in dangerous situations and working under extraordinary conditions and I am fully prepared to meet the challenges ahead.
I do have prior medical experience that includes but is not limited to performing CPR, checking vitals and administering IVs. I have the training needed to evaluate the seriousness of the injury and tend to the most urgent patients first. I can sterilize wounds and apply proper dressing even under the most difficult situations.
I understand that when on the field, the main goal is to stabilize patients and prepare them for evacuation to a medical facility. I have the ability to work under pressure while staying calm and the ability to help keep patients as relaxed as possible.
