I have a bachelor’s degree in composition and I started training for this position at a very early age. I have a natural talent for composing music but throughout the years, I have obtained discipline and perseverance, which are needed to be a success in this career. I am familiar with a variety of music styles and I have extensive knowledge of music theory.
I have over five years of experience singing with a choir and I have completed courses that focused on the history of music, ear training, conducting and compositional techniques used in composing. My studies also included music analysis and I am skilled at writing sheet music.
I am familiar with a variety of instruments and I understand how they are combined together to create one harmonious sound. I can determine exactly which instruments are needed to achieve the desired sound. I also have the ability to make recommendations concerning the type of voices (male, female or a combination of both) that will be the most effective and to help guide the musicians and singers during practices to ensure they achieve the right combination of sound.
