I am applying for the Community Nurse position with Evangelical Community Hospital.

I have an associate degree in nursing and I am currently working on my bachelor’s degree. I have a license to practice nursing and I am a member if the American Public Health Association where I stay undated on new research, technology and new nursing practices.

I have experience working in a local health facility but I would like to use my education and experience to do more for the community. I believe that joining the health team at your facility will help me accomplish that goal. I am familiar with the basics of nursing such as proper nutrition, anatomy, psychology and physiology. I am also familiar with the equipment used in the health care profession.

I have the communication skills needed to help educate the public on ways to stay healthy and to help teach them about preventive measures for many illnesses and diseases. I also have experience promoting and directing health screenings for the public, blood drives and counseling sessions that can help the community.

I have the skills to help prepare patients to be seen by the physician and to help diagnose the problem to help determine the best course of action to treat the condition. I also have the skills to monitor patients, report any changes that take place in their condition and to keep excellent records of all patients in my care.
