I was pleased to hear about the screener position opening up at University of Michigan next month and would like to express my interest in the job. After graduating from high school I have worked as a security guard for a manufacturing company for the past five years.
Maintaining a safe environment for all personnel and visitors within the facility is the main function of this position. I take this responsibility seriously and always act in a professionally manner no matter what the situation may be. My past experience includes manually inspecting personal items belonging to anyone entering or exiting the premises whenever necessary and patrolling the area.
My skills include excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work alone or as a team. I have the ability to stay alert at all times and to pick up on anything that is out of the ordinary. My flexibility allows me to work most anytime so being on call at the last minute is not a problem.
