I’m searching for the opportunity to work as a school social worker where I can put my skills and training in this field to good use. Therefore, you can imagine the excitement I felt when seeing your advertisement for an opening for this position. I fully believe that I have the experience to fill this position and be an asset to Jack London High School.

A social worker has a unique opportunity to help children and their parents in a way that no one else can. Knowing that you can make a difference in a child’s life is one of the things that make this job so rewarding and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to enhance my skills in this field.

I have obtained my MSW (master’s degree in social work) from Transylvania University and five years of experience in this field. I have the ability to help promote good development by helping students utilize the resources available to them based on their individual needs.

My experience includes providing individual and group counseling sessions to students to help them cope with their problems so they can overcome behavioral issues. I’ve provided feedback to administrators and teachers along with the best course of action to take.
