I have a strong desire to help others and to improve my community, so I am very interested in the Social Work Assistant position with Mease Manor Retirement Community.
I have earned my associate degree in human services and my courses centered on sociology, social sciences and psychology. I also gained experience working with drug addiction and child services while completing an internship.
I am prepared to work with clients and I have the ability to deal with all types of situations as they occur, even if they turn violent. I also know how to respond to a crisis in a safe and professional manner without losing focus of the main goal. I am familiar with the rights of the clients in addition to the state and federal laws that surround this profession.
I have the ability to help take care of the administrative side of this job such as filling out the paperwork, updating client information, billing and setting up appointments. I have excellent verbal and writing skills with the ability to confer with other professionals on behave of the clients to learn about their history and other valuable information.
I understand that this job career can be very challenging and stressful at times but it can also be very rewarding. Helping others is my passion and that is why I chose this career path. Filling this position will give me the opportunity to do what I love the most and that is to give back to my community by helping those in need.
