I have a bachelor’s degree in art education and I am state licensed. I also completed an internship as a teacher assistant working with high school students. During this time, I gained extensive knowledge of classroom management and creating curriculum that matches the state, federal and school’s requirements. I also studied human development and student assessment, so I have knowledge to test and evaluate the students to see how well they are progressing and to look for areas that need improvements.

My experience includes putting together lesson plans that match the skill level of the students. These lessons consist of basic to advanced art history lessons in addition to drawing and painting techniques. I also have the skills to put together ceramic projects and to teach the students the art of sculpturing.

I am familiar with and have the ability to take advantage of the different types of resources and technology available to art teachers. I have the ability to support school activities and to enforce school policies during classes and at school events.

Art is my passion and I have the ability to help students find their hidden talents and to work to advance these skills. I have the knowledge to help students create an art portfolio they can use to show off their expertise and I hope to meet with you soon to talk more about this position.
