I am applying for the Traffic Engineer position with Nitsch Engineering, Inc. and I am confident that I have acquired the skills and training to be the best candidate for this position.

I have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with courses that centered on chemistry, calculus, thermodynamics and physics. I have completed the first part of the proficiency test to obtain my license and I have several years of experience working as a junior engineer in transportation.

I have experience researching traffic studies and collecting information about land development and road construction. I have experience using computer software to perform analysis and the writing and verbal skills to relay the results of my findings to senior engineers. I can also use PowerPoint, Word and Excel proficiently and I have experience creating schedules and coordinating assignments that will help to keep projects on schedule.

I have the knowledge and training to design and help construct varies forms of ground transportation. My goal is to work with other professionals in the industry to make public transportation systems and roads as safe for the public as possible. I am also familiar with environmental issues relating to this field along with traffic control and optimization.

I have the interpersonal and communication skills needed to work as part of a team and the self-motivation to work independently. I am also very detailed orientated with excellent organizational skills. I have the ability to manage my time wisely and I understand and adhere to the laws and regulations related to this profession.
