I am applying for the Education Specialist job with Northern Virginia Community College and I am confident that I am the best applicant for this position.

I have over five years of experience working as a professor for a local college. My teaching certification is current and I have recently earned my EdS degree, which qualifies me to hold this position. I have a real desire to help students learn and grow into strong, knowledgeable adults by helping to advance the curriculum and the methods used for teaching.

Having worked in a classroom I have the experience needed to know how to get through to students to help make them want to learn. As a result, I can help create and adjust the coursework and tests given to help make them more effective. I have lots of patience with the ability to work with groups of professionals to implement new ideas and to advance the curriculum to ensure all students receive the education they deserve.

I have the skills to take part in meetings, present my ideas and show proof of how changes can improve the educational system. I have outstanding problem solving, interpersonal and time management skills. I also have the flexibility to travel between the different schools in the district and interact with all school officials. I believe all students need a good education and I truly want to do all I can to ensure the schools in our district exceed expectations.
