A CPA recommendation letter can be for a CPA who is looking for a job with a firm or a CPA who owns a business and is trying to land a new client. The letter is usually written by an employer or a client who has worked with the CPA.
Sample:
This sample CPA letter is from an employer on behalf of an employee who is a certified public accountant (CPA). The employer is retiring and closing hissmall CPA firm. He is writing a recommendation letter for one of his employees who is applying for a job with another firm.
I am writing this letter to recommend David Trey for a position as a CPA with your firm. David has worked with me for the past 15 years. He came to my firm originally as an intern during his last semester of college. I was so pleased with his job performance that I made his internship a full-time job as soon as he graduated. Shortly after starting here at XYZ CPA Firm David passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Exam and began taking on more challenging work. He has been someone I could count on to always perform impeccably and has been a tremendous asset to this firm from the beginning of his employment.
I am retiring and closing my firm; therefore I want to help him find employment elsewhere as any CPA firm would be fortunate to have David, his work ethic and expertise. While working for me, he has been responsible for preparing monthly statements and financial reports for clients, working with tax returns and computations, advising clients on budgets and forecasts, administering payroll and coordinating audits. He has always been committed to excellence and is able to work well under pressure and against tight deadlines. David is highly detail oriented, a trait that has served him well during his time at XYZ. He is enthusiastic and energetic and enjoys the admiration and respect of his colleagues.
One of David’s particular talents is working with business clients through expansions or acquisitions where he develops a strategy to minimize their tax responsibility to the greatest extent possible. He has audited books for the purpose of discovering the perpetration of fraud on a number of occasions which has served to help clients stop the continual loss or company funds through illegal activities.
David is a favorite CPA among new businesses in the community as he has a talent for determining the viability of a business idea and recommending adjustments to make the idea more feasible as an actual business. He is an expert at helping new companies formulate a business plan and obtain the necessary financing as well as helping them set up their initial bookkeeping and financial reporting systems.
It is with pleasure that I recommend David Trey for a CPA position at your firm. I am confident that he will be an asset to your company.
