A preschool teacher recommendation letter can be written by a supervising teacher, a preschool owner or director or a parent among others. It can be written for an experienced preschool teacher who is relocating or changing jobs or a recent college graduate embarking on a career in early childhood education.

It is written by the director of the preschool where the applicant had an internship during her last semester of college. She is seeking a permanent job as a preschool teacher.

It is my pleasure to recommend Erin Mason for a position as a preschool teacher at your school. She recently graduated from ABC Community College with a degree in early childhood education. During her last semester in college she worked at my preschool, Little Ones Academy, as an assistant preschool teacher. She was an absolute joy to work with. Erin was patient, kind and nurturing toward the children in her charge. Her energy was refreshing and her enthusiasm contagious. She thought of creative ways to bring learning experiences into the children’s playtime and our curriculum was strengthened by her cutting edge methods and teaching techniques.

Erin did a wonderful job of making sure the children were safe at all times. She is certified in CPR and first aid as well as Red Cross lifesaving and water safety. She is highly professional and easily recognizes children’s special needs, both academic and emotional. The college courses Erin took in psychology, childhood development, curriculum and classroom management have been extremely helpful to her and beneficial for the students.

Despite her young age, Erin did a wonderful job of effectively communication with parents. She was able to competently address all concerns that were brought to her attention and help parents to feel more comfortable with their children’s preschool experience. Erin even educated parents of children who were struggling academically on techniques they could use at home to support her efforts in the classroom and help the children progress and stay on track.

Although the children at my preschool adore Erin, they still have great respect for her. She was able to keep her classroom organized and the students under control while still making the atmosphere fun and exciting every day. The school benefitted immensely from Erin’s knowledge of the latest techniques in preschool teaching. She brought new and innovative ideas into the classroom that benefitted the teachers as well as the students. Erin’s love for her profession is evident in everything she does. She cares deeply about each and every child’s education and emotional stability.
